About The Position

EMC Mechanical Services is searching for a Plumbing Foreman to join our team! The Plumbing Foreman is the direct leader of the Plumbing Mechanics and Helpers on each jobsite. This position is responsible for maintaining a productive work environment. This includes being on site at least 30 minutes prior to start time.

Requirements

5+ years of verifiable experience in a commercial or industrial Plumbing role is required.
High School diploma or GED is required.
Currently owns a personal set of tools required for the trade.
Journeyman license is required.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees both verbally and in writing.
Ability to read and effectively interpret blueprints and other construction materials.
Ability to make effective decisions and have strong problem-solving skills.
Must have knowledge of various systems’ local codes.
Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Master’s license is preferred.
Completion of OSHA 30 certification, or willing to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

Verify install schedules, as well as daily and weekly schedules for on-site mechanics and helpers.
Supervise mechanics and helpers, including arrival time on the job, quality of work being completed, and company vehicle condition.
Order materials based off of specs, submittments, and takeoff to ensure that the materials are on site when needed.
Responsible for installs per code/spec.
