Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as CAD Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar discipline preferred; equivalent combination of education or 1–2 years of relevant work experience will also be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with a consulting engineering firm in a design and/or drafting capacity is preferred.
  • Experience with and working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit design platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Familiarize themselves with state-of-the-art design and various state and local regulations.
  • Assist in studies, doing drawings and design as required.
  • Follows established design procedures.
  • Accepts direction and supervision and works well with others.
  • Within their technical specialty, design and layout engineering drawings.
