About The Position
We are seeking an entry level plumbing designer to join our team! This individual will assist on the design process and preparation of building systems drawings. Related projects, including hotels, apartment buildings, retail/commercial spaces, and educational facilities using Revit and AutoCAD software.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Previous experience with a consulting engineering firm in a design and/or drafting capacity is preferred.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as CAD Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar discipline preferred; equivalent combination of education or 1–2 years of relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Experience with and working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit design platforms is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Familiarize themselves with state-of-the-art design and various state and local regulations.
- Assist in studies, doing drawings and design as required.
- Follows established design procedures.
- Accepts direction and supervision and works well with others.
- Within their technical specialty, design and layout engineering drawings.
