About The Position

LPA is seeking a Plumbing Designer to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners. As a member of our MEP+L Systems Engineering team, you will work on a broad range of projects from office, education and recreation buildings to complex laboratories, health care facilities, and performing arts centers. Our award-winning projects aim to have a positive and enduring environmental, economic and social impact.

Requirements

  • 0–5 years of experience in the design of plumbing and/or fire protection systems.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for a collaborative, multidisciplinary design process.
  • Curious, open-minded, and eager to learn.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in LPA’s integrated, multidisciplinary design process alongside engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders.
  • Support Engineers, Architects, and Project Managers in the delivery of building design projects from concept through construction.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, analyses, and documentation for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
  • Assist with the selection and specification of equipment, systems, and products appropriate to each project.
  • Review, process, and respond to construction administration documents, including RFIs and submittals.
  • Participate in construction meetings and conduct field visits to support project execution and quality assurance.
