About The Position

PAE is seeking a motivated and inquisitive Plumbing Design Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2027. This internship offers the opportunity to work on the design of plumbing systems, including onsite non-potable reuse and nutrient recovery systems, water data analysis, and electrification of domestic hot water systems. Interns will utilize CAD and Revit, perform design calculations, and gain experience in construction administration, site visits, specifications, cost estimate review, and M/E coordination.

Requirements

• 3rd year undergraduate student preferred
• Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering major
• Desire to work in the Building Design industry
• Passionate about sustainable design solutions
• Effective Communicator

Responsibilities

• Design layout of plumbing systems
• Onsite non-potable reuse and nutrient recovery systems
• Water data (WUI) analysis
• Electrification of domestic hot water systems
• CAD and Revit
• Energy modeling
• Design calculations

• General project timeline/overview
• Specifications
• Site Visits/Site Observation Reports
