About The Position

The Plumbing Department Manager will spearhead the establishment and growth of Redblue’s plumbing division. This role requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in commercial plumbing who can develop a new book of business, build lasting client relationships, and recruit and manage a high-performing plumbing team. Requirements

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in commercial plumbing, including hands-on and management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow a business or department and build a team from the ground up.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with a go-getter mentality and a focus on results.
  • Proficient in project management and budgeting.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid plumbing license and any applicable certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial plumbing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to grow the division.
  • Establish the plumbing department from the ground up, including hiring and training staff.
  • Develop processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure operational excellence.
  • Oversee projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define goals, budgets, and growth strategies for the plumbing division.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor a skilled team of plumbing professionals.
  • Provide leadership and foster a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and ensure continuous team development.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Oversee inventory management, vendor relationships, and equipment procurement.
  • Maintain a focus on customer satisfaction and quality assurance.
