About The Position

The Plumbing Counter Sales position is responsible for increasing sales and profit by efficiently and courteously assisting walk-in, will-call, and telephone customers with selecting and purchasing products. The position also assists the outside sales team in meeting customer expectations.

The role focuses on customer service, inventory control, and knowledge development. It supports customer loyalty and sales through strong service, efficient order assistance, properly maintained inventory, proactive communication of inventory needs, and ongoing product knowledge.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in customer service, sales, applicable related industry experience, or progressive industry experience; one year is preferred.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Must pass the company-required drug screen and physical.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead.
• Must routinely drive or operate forklifts and work with tools and equipment.
• Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required.
• A consistent presence at work is required.
• Forklift operators must be at least 18 years old and successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Operator Certification.

• One year of customer service, sales, applicable related industry experience, or progressive industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
