About The Position

The Counter Sales position is responsible for increasing sales and profit by efficiently and courteously assisting walk-in, will call and telephone customers with selecting and purchasing products, while assisting the outside sales team with meeting their customer’s expectations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Basic computer and math skills
• Must pass company required drug screen and physical
• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead.
• Routinely drives/operates forklifts
• Works with tools, and equipment
• Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention.
• Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required.
• A consistent presence at work is required.
• Must be a minimum age of 18 years old to operate a forklift
• Successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Operator Certification

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of Customer Service Experience
• 1 year of Sales Experience
• 1 year of Plumbing/Waterworks Applicable Relative Industry Experience
• 1 year of Progressive Industry Experience

Responsibilities

• Properly and efficiently assist customers in the order process.
• Increase profit through properly maintained inventory and proactively communicated inventory needs.
• Develop and maintain knowledge to increase credibility with customers.
