About The Position
Grogg’s Home Services, a NearU Company, is seeking a dependable and motivated Plumbing Assistant to support its plumbing team in Clarksburg, West Virginia. This role offers an opportunity to begin a plumbing career and gain hands-on experience while working alongside skilled plumbers. The work supports residential and light commercial plumbing services, repairs, and installations. The position includes on-the-job training and mentorship, with a stated career path to Apprentice and Service Plumber roles.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
Nice To Haves
- Prior plumbing or construction experience is preferred, but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with residential and light commercial plumbing service, repairs, and installations.
- Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
- Support pipe cutting, fitting, trenching, and basic plumbing tasks.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Provide professional and courteous customer interaction.
- Perform general cleanup and job site support duties.
