About The Position

The Plumbing Apprentice assists with diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing plumbing systems. Systems may include pipes, fittings, piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for heating, cooling, gas, steam, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems. The apprentice works with various tools, gauges, and measuring equipment under the guidance and direction of a supervisor. The role supports plumbers and other team members in laying out, assembling, and installing plumbing systems, while following safety plans and maintaining safe, productive, and high-quality work practices. Apprentices are responsible for maintaining their required personal tools and keeping tools and work areas clean and orderly. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.
Basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

A valid or current Plumber’s Apprentice Registration is advantageous.
Craft training is preferred.

Responsibilities

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment properly.
Review project task safety plans, documentation, practices, and procedures, and follow them during the workday.
Complete assigned daily job requirements with safety, quality, and productivity in mind.
Collaborate with team members to lay out, assemble, and install plumbing systems.
Assist plumbers as required.
Maintain required personal tools and keep tools and work areas clean and orderly.
Perform other duties as required.
