About The Position

In this position you will support commercial construction projects by installing plumbing systems and related materials. You will assist with commercial plumbing installation from underground/rough-ins, stack out to trim outs on large scale commercial and industrial construction projects such as, healthcare, government, educational, manufacturing, data centers and others. You will install hangers and supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation for water, gas, compressed air, medical gas, or other liquids. You will regularly use basic hand tools and be able to read a tape measure. You will assist with the installation of materials such as copper, steel, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and other piping. Duties could include assisting with setting grease traps, decontamination tanks, oil interceptors, lint interceptors, utility hookups, etc. You will be able to work off ladders, man lifts and other equipment from various heights. You will perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.

Nice To Haves

3 years of commercial plumbing experience preferred
Current / valid apprentice license in applicable state
Willingness to learn to read blueprints and shop drawing
Knowledge of basic and tools and ability to read a tape measure preferred
OSHA 10-hour preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Basic math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to perform routine measurements and calculations. Ability to work with fractions, percentages, and decimals.
