About The Position

As a Backflow Apprentice at Bobs Back Flow (BBF), you will assist experienced technicians with the installation, maintenance, and testing of backflow prevention devices. The role supports the safety and integrity of water supply systems by helping prevent contamination of potable water and protect public health and the environment. You will gain hands-on experience and technical knowledge in plumbing and backflow prevention, supporting career development in the construction industry. Your work will help maintain compliance with local regulations and industry standards and deliver quality service to clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced technicians.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving heavy lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of plumbing systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing backflow prevention devices in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Learn and assist with testing backflow prevention devices to confirm they function correctly.
• Help maintain and repair backflow prevention devices as needed.
• Understand and comply with local, state, and federal backflow prevention regulations.
• Keep accurate records of installations, tests, and repairs.
• Learn to identify and troubleshoot issues with backflow prevention devices.
• Help maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in orderly, functional condition.
• Participate in safety training and follow safety protocols.
• Attend educational programs and training sessions to gain knowledge and certifications in backflow prevention.
