About The Position

The Plumber carries out the day-to-day plumbing needs of the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC). This role requires journeyman-level work and involves performing routine daily checks and activities related to various plumbing systems. The position also requires maintaining proper care of uniforms, equipment, and supplies, and may involve occasional support to other trades and answering guest questions regarding the facility.

Requirements

Must provide own hand tools required to perform assigned work, including but not limited to, screw drivers, measuring tape, pliers, adjustable wrenches and flashlight.
Regularly required to sit, stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
Frequently use a keyboard/computer/tablet screen for extended periods of time.
Occasionally required to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds or more.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions.

Responsibilities

Perform journeyman level plumbing work.
Provide routine daily checks and activities.
Service all restroom fixtures, kitchen fixtures, dishwashers, grease traps, hood wash down system, drinking fountains, hot water heaters, building sewer system, dewatering system, storm drains, and air conditioning condensate drains.
Manage water usage/conservation, water softener, and reverse osmosis systems.
Perform system checks on the fire sprinkler system.
Lend support to other trades on occasion.
Answer guest questions regarding the facility.
Maintain proper care of uniform, equipment, and supplies.
