About The Position

This role involves providing outstanding customer service, diagnosing, repairing, and installing plumbing systems in residential settings. The plumber will ensure all work is completed to code, company standards, and customer satisfaction, while also troubleshooting issues efficiently and recommending solutions. Maintaining clean, organized, and safe job sites is crucial, as is mentoring apprentices. The position requires adherence to all safety procedures and maintaining tools, equipment, and company vehicles. Collaboration with team members and representing the company with professionalism are key expectations.

Requirements

Valid Journeyman Plumber license preferred (or readiness to test).
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with insurability through Vredevoogd’s insurance carrier.
Ability to pass initial and random drug screenings, as well as a comprehensive national background check.
Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, codes, and best practices.
Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift over 75 lbs, climb in and out of vehicles, and work in varying weather conditions.
Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Must live within 45 minutes of Kalamazoo.
