The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in the entire facility and grounds. Requirements

Good product knowledge of piping including grade and types, fixtures, and other related supplies.
Knowledge of local building codes.
Skill in use of power and hand tools, such as saws, table saw, drill press, chisels, rasps, etc.
Basic English language communication skills in order to read blueprints and mechanical drawings, communicate with co-workers, and fully comprehend job assignments.
Basic trade mathematical skills in order to calculate quantities of materials.
Ability to grasp, lift, or carry items weighing up to 80 lbs. occasionally above head.
Ability to reach above head and support items such as wood, ceiling tiles, etc.
Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 500 lbs. with assistance.
Ability to climb ladders, occasionally working at heights above 30 feet.
Ability to perform tasks consistently while bending, stooping, kneeling or standing while supporting additional weight of up to 80 lbs.
Previous experience with water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Any combination of experience that provides the required knowledge of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, and policies and procedures installation and maintenance.

Ensures all requirements, as specified by the manufacturer, of systems and fixtures are met
Ensures all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded
Ensures all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.
Ensures all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
Due to the nature of the business, the carpenter may be required to do other duties and special projects, as assigned by the supervisor, such as assisting other trades or erecting partitions and walls.

Responsibilities

Installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems and fixtures in entire facility and grounds.
Reads blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
Plans, installs, and services plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment, and controls, which may be used to transport water, waste, gases or hot liquids.
Works in cooperation with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, legislation, and policies are met.
Ensures efficient completion of any project.
Providing adequate services will ensure that all water supply networks and waste and drainage systems are installed, repaired, and maintained to meet all standards of building codes and safety.
