Performs skilled Plumbing work at the Journeyman level, including installation, operation, maintenance and repair associated with systems, equipment and building fixtures within the scope of services provided by the Plumbing Shop. Requirements

  • 3 years relevant work experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Installation, operation, maintenance and repair of all aspects of the systems, equipment and fixtures included in the Plumbing Shop scope of services, including but not limited to: Domestic water system to include but not limited to backflow preventers, domestic water pumps, booster pumps, circulating pumps, water heaters and water coolers, emergency water supply stations, water meters, distribution piping, valves, etc.
  • Equipment and fixtures serviced by the Plumbing Shop to include but not limited to dishwashing equipment, sewage ejection pumps, water fountains, acid neutralization tanks, aquariums, plaster traps, grease traps, emergency wet vacuums, sinks of all types, faucets, water closets, showers, sump pumps, safety showers, eye wash stations, decontamination showers, food interceptors, fire extinguishers, etc.
  • Fire protection system to include fire pumps, distribution piping, valves, sprinkler heads, etc.
  • Clinical and Laboratory gas piping systems
  • Natural gas distribution system
  • Follow instructions, work under supervision and independently, demonstrate an eagerness to learn and expand knowledge base and skill set
