About The Position
The Journeyman Plumber II position at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is responsible for the maintenance and repair of plumbing systems across medical, educational, and research facilities on the UAMS Campus. These systems are crucial for the safety, comfort, and general wellbeing of patients, students, and employees. The role also involves resolving all problems and emergencies related to these systems and associated equipment on the UAMS Campus. UAMS is Arkansas’ only comprehensive academic health sciences center, dedicated to educating and training health professionals through innovation, compassion, teamwork, and patient- and family-centered care.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Five (5) years of plumbing experience
- Journeyman Plumber license in accordance with ACA 17-38-301
- Computer program proficiency level: Novice
- Valid Driver’s License with fewer than 12 points on their Motor Vehicle Record
Nice To Haves
- 6 years of plumbing experience
- Master's plumbing license
Responsibilities

- Resolving all problems and or emergencies that arise from these systems and associated equipment on the UAMS Campus
