About The Position

This is a Water Treatment Service Technician position, not a traditional plumbing apprenticeship. The employee will not work under a licensed plumber or earn plumbing apprenticeship hours. Instead, they will complete a seven-week hands-on training program combining classroom learning, shop time, and field training. The program prepares them to install water softeners, filtration systems, and other water treatment equipment in customers’ homes, with a career path for continued growth and advancement. The technician works in customers’ homes and businesses to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain water treatment and related equipment. They educate customers on system use and care, document service work, collaborate with Sales and Customer Service, and safely operate a company vehicle. Work includes using plumbing training, power tools, hand tools, pipe fittings, and other equipment. The role offers hourly pay, commissions, lead fees, monthly bonus opportunities, and possible sign-on and retention bonuses. Full benefits are available after the first of the month following 60 days of employment. The company describes itself as U.S. Water Culligan Group, a Culligan franchisee operating across 13 locations.
