About The Position

Reliance is seeking a Plumber Apprentice Technician Level 3 to join their team. This role offers limitless opportunities for growth and rewards for success. Responsibilities include installing piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for water and wastewater distribution, disposal, and appliances in residential buildings. The role involves locating and marking pipe positions, cutting openings in walls and floors, measuring, cutting, bending, and threading pipes, joining pipes using various methods, and testing pipes for leaks. The apprentice will also set priorities to meet deadlines, adhere to safety rules and regulations, perform equipment inspections, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of modern equipment and regulations.

Requirements

  • Registered Plumber Apprentice in Level 3 with new home residential experience
  • Must have a driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
  • Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
  • Install all types of piping systems, fixtures and other equipment used to distribute, supply or dispose of water or wastewater, including fixtures systems and appliances in residential buildings
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Set priorities and work assignments to meet established deadlines
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Perform general and specific equipment inspections
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations
