The purpose of the GTF is to support graduate students who have a keen interest in teaching to further develop their teaching skills. The duties of a GTF holder may include instructing one or more classes, serving as a grader for assignments and/or examinations, facilitating laboratory or discussion sections. For the successful candidate, a statement of specific duties will be developed in conjunction with the Graduate Chair and the relevant course instructor. The GTF holder will be expected to provide up to 12 hours/week for term 1 (September 2026) OR term 2 (January 2027). This award is valued at $8,500. As this GTF position represents a major time commitment, it is important that interested graduate students talk to their supervisors to make sure that they are onboard.
