PLM Engineer

Anduril IndustriesCosta Mesa, CA

About The Position

ArsenalOS is Anduril's unified production systems platform, serving as the digital backbone for manufacturing operations, including PLM, MES, WMS, and supply chain systems. The team is focused on building modern, integrated solutions to scale hardware production with software velocity. The goal is to create a seamless product lifecycle experience, where design changes propagate efficiently across all systems, production issues are immediately visible to relevant teams, and field data influences future product builds. ArsenalOS aims to transform the Build Chain into a continuous learning system. The PLM Software Engineer role involves architecting and implementing mission-critical Teamcenter customizations, integrations, and solutions to enable engineering teams to design, manage, and deliver complex hardware products at scale. This is a builder role focused on developing a next-generation Engineering Backbone from the ground up, integrating various systems like CAD, ERP, MES, manufacturing, and engineering platforms. Responsibilities include developing custom ITK services, SOA integrations, Active Workspace customizations, and enterprise integrations. The role requires collaborating with engineering teams to solve challenges in product data management, BOMs, change management, and configuration management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, technical Teamcenter Software Engineer comfortable in fast-moving, greenfield environments, combining strong software engineering foundations with Teamcenter expertise and an innovative mindset.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role building products, ideally in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years of hands-on Teamcenter development experience including: ITK (Integration Toolkit) development in C/C++, BMIDE (Business Modeler IDE) data modeling and customization, SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) services and handlers, Active Workspace (AWC) customization and development
  • Teamcenter architecture, database schema, and administration
  • Strong programming skills in Java, C++, and C#
  • Experience with modern software development practices: version control (Git), CI/CD, automated testing, code review
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) and ability to leverage them for rapid, high-quality development
  • Experience working with large enterprise applications and platforms with high availability requirements
  • Database experience (SQL, Oracle or SQL Server, data modeling, query optimization)
  • Strong opinions about code quality, architecture, and engineering best practices — you're a bar raiser
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Teamcenter upgrades/migrations (14.x → 2506/25.x) and cloud deployment architectures
  • Experience with CAD integrations (NX, SolidWorks) and other PLM platforms (Windchill, Aras, Enovia)
  • Experience in hyper growth startup-like environments or aerospace/defense manufacturing
  • Understanding of PLM adjacent systems: ERP (Oracle, SAP), MES, WMS, CAD, BOM management
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development lifecycle, and engineering change management
  • Experience with web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, REST APIs)
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret/Top Secret Security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver complex Teamcenter customizations and integrations for ArsenalOS PLM (ITK, SOA, BMIDE, Active Workspace)
  • Build high-performance integrations between Teamcenter and other ArsenalOS systems (ERP, MES, change management, requirements management, CAD)
  • Design and implement scalable data models, business logic, and workflow solutions while minimizing upgrade friction
  • Contribute to improving the platform observability (Datadog, etc) and reliability
  • Set the bar for engineering excellence — raise standards through opinionated technical decisions, architectural guidance, and high-quality code contributions
  • Leverage frontier AI tooling (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.) for rapid development and serve as a model for how the team should work at speed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with systems architecture, software product and design, change management, requirements management, and manufacturing teams
  • Define architecture standards for scalable growth and move quickly from concept → prototype → production

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees
  • Comprehensive, competitive benefits package (available at little to no cost to employees) ensures you’re supported in health, recovery, and whatever comes next.
