About The Position

The PLG Rental Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of magazine and compliance record keeping, entering production jobs for PLGs, and supervising daily tasks for gun loaders and tool technicians. This role involves coordinating PLG shipments, monitoring and ordering inventory based on customer demand and schedules, and partnering with DC Managers to optimize efficiencies. The supervisor will also schedule ATF regulated inventory, reconcile inventory discrepancies, assist in determining work procedures and preparing work schedules, and examine finished work for accuracy and conformance to policies. Additionally, the role ensures all repackaged material is properly labeled according to ATF & DOT regulations, maintains accurate inventory, and works with the Supply Chain Manager to optimize location inventory levels. The supervisor will coordinate with distribution centers and production divisions to optimize corporate profits by supplying needed inventory and provide recommendations for performance, safety, and environmental improvements. A key part of the role is managing all PLG team employee-related issues, including selection, planning, training, performance reviews, and partnering with HR on compensation and disciplinary matters. The supervisor will also prepare composite reports and can perform the activities of the workers they supervise.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant industry experience.
  • Self-motivated to successfully lead the in accomplishing assigned tasks.
  • Observant and detail orientated.
  • Demonstrates good decision-making skills in all aspects of the job.
  • Reads, understands and enforces written and verbal work instructions.
  • Demonstrates good leadership and communication skills.
  • Can properly use measuring devices and make precise measurements using micrometers, calipers and weight scales.
  • Familiar with and can work Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel), able to manipulate photos in software, and familiar with SolidWorks drafting.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand operating, safety and test procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA safety regulations, ATF & DOT explosives, transportation, storage and documentation requirements.
  • Strong “hands on” mechanical aptitude and ability.
  • Maintains a clean, neat and well-organized work area.
  • Able to understand, learn and follow written and verbal safety, quality and work instructions.
  • Recommends suggestions for continual improvement.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and record that conforms to company’s insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State or other required Hazmat training.
  • Must meet Hunting Titan/OSHA fork truck driver license requirements.
  • Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements.
  • Must be US citizen, or lawful permanent resident of the United States (student Visa does not qualify), in accordance with ATF regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all magazine and compliance record keeping.
  • Will enter production jobs for PLGs.
  • Supervise and assign daily tasks to gun loaders and tool technicians based on demand.
  • Coordinate PLG shipments to customers.
  • Monitor and order inventory based on customer demand and loading/rental schedule.
  • Partner with DC Managers to maximize freight, inventory, and employee efficiencies.
  • Schedule ATF regulated inventory for magazines.
  • Reconcile history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve differences.
  • Assist in determining work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Will examine finished work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Assure all repackaged material is properly labeled according to ATF & DOT regulations.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory according to customer demands.
  • Work with Supply Chain Manager to optimize location inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with all distribution centers and production divisions as necessary to optimize corporate profits by supplying any inventory that may be needed that cannot be produced in time to meet customer order.
  • Provide recommendations to help optimize performance, safety and environmental issues.
  • Manage all PLG team employee related issues including selection, planning, training, assigning, and directing work; as well as conducting performance reviews and partnering with Human Resources on matters related to compensation, progressive discipline and/or employee concerns.
  • Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
  • Can perform activities of workers supervised.
  • Other duties as assigned.
