Pleating Assembler - Day Shift

About The Position

Jonell Systems, now part of Parker Hannifin, provides filtration solutions for oil and gas, refining, power, chemical, and petrochemical markets. The Pleating Assembler performs assembly tasks, including assembling products to print individually or as part of a cell and completing final packaging. The employee is normally cross-trained in multiple areas and is expected to become proficient at all final assembly setups with little to no supervision. The role also includes training basic final assemblers in setting up individual assembly fixtures through on-the-job training. Base hours are 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. The employee may be assigned flexible hours and overtime opportunities are offered.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret assembly prints.
Ability to read, write, and count.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work sitting or standing for up to 8 hours.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Follow all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Perform assigned assembly functions as directed by the final assembly lead or production supervisor.
Work in a quality-conscious and safe manner.
Perform work at process speed and/or standard rates.
Pull work orders, assemble products, and package final assemblies with little to no supervision.
Maintain daily product and scrap records.
Perform miscellaneous duties assigned by the team lead or production supervisor.
Keep the workstation and surrounding area clean.
Maintain assigned tools.
Train basic final assemblers in setting up individual assembly fixtures through on-the-job training.
Perform other duties required by management.
