About The Position

Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation is hiring an assembler to work in various roles and workstations within its pasting department. The successful candidate will meet daily production requirements provided by the department supervisor. Hands-on training will be provided by the supervisor and colleagues. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; overtime may be available. The role involves operating and adjusting pasting and curing equipment, handling and inspecting battery plates, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and following written and oral instructions. It requires prolonged standing, physical handling of materials, use of small hand tools and required personal protective equipment, and working around hazardous materials and in hot and cold temperatures.

Requirements

Basic high school diploma or GED.
Read, write, and speak English.
Punctual and reliable.
Complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Stand for long periods of time.
Maneuver up to 80 pounds.
Reach, carry, bend or stoop, and push or pull.
Wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Read numbers and letters.
Work with and around hazardous materials.
Work in hot and cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

Follow written and oral instructions.
Adjust the pasting machine to control quality standards.
Stack grids onto the machine feeder.
Offload plates from the conveyor.
Adjust the temperature on the pasting oven.
Operate curing ovens.
Inspect and clean plates.
Comply with safety requirements and participate in safety training and practices.
Maintain a clean work area and follow company hygiene guidelines.
Use small hand tools.
Notify the supervisor when defective materials are detected.
