About The Position

A Players Club Representative enrolls guests into the club, explaining all benefits, redeeming points for cash-back/promotional play and provides support for special events. The role requires adherence to Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) Core Values, Policies & Procedures, acting as a role model, and maintaining a positive and respectful attitude toward customers and co-workers. Consistency in reporting to work on time and being prepared for duties is expected.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have two years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficient with basic office equipment (computer, photocopying, faxing).
  • Experience with Kronos (Timekeeper Software) and Paramount (Purchasing Software).
  • Experience with OASIS.
  • Ability to bend over, crouch/stoop, hear, reach overhead, sit, stand, talk, turn/twist, walk, see and repetitive use of hands 51-100% of the time.
  • Ability to push/pull 25-50 lbs. 25-50% of the time and 50+lbs. 51-100% of the time.
  • Ability to carry 1-25 lbs. 51-100% of the time and 25-50+ lbs. 25-50% of the time.
  • Ability to lift and slide/transfer 1-25 lbs. 51-100% of the time and 25-50 lbs. 25-50% of the time.
  • Ability to interpret data, read and write 51-100% of the time.
  • Ability to problem solve, organize, plan, and make decisions 25-50% of the time.
  • Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna’s Gaming Control Board.
  • Comply with LDC and the Federal Government Bank Secrecy Act by acquiring and/or maintaining a Title 31 Certification.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce and promote the Player’s Club, explaining benefits such as cash back/reward bucks, bonus points, redemption, and award levels.
  • Assist players with membership applications, set up player accounts in OASIS, take player photos, print/reprint player cards, and explain card usage in slot machines and table games.
  • Walk the casino floor enrolling "hot players" into the club.
  • Handle routine problems with guests and LDC employees with initiative, professionalism, and courtesy.
  • Generate excitement and provide personal attention to customers.
  • Stock promotional items and maintain clean work areas.
  • Distribute promotional items like coupons, gifts, or player cards.
  • Inform players about promotion booth locations, and upcoming or ongoing promotions.
  • Pay attention to detail.
  • Write and prepare standard reports and documents.
  • Maintain knowledge of all table game rules and regulations, slot marketing activities, events, games offered, advertising, and casino marketing.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information, including guest/player information, financial data, casino player data, policies, and marketing plans.
  • Maintain a courteous, positive, and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public.
  • Build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions, learning their names and preferences, and greeting them professionally.
  • Work under pressure and maintain regular, punctual attendance, including working odd hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Be a team player by working towards team goals, fostering a collaborative environment, assisting coworkers, and maintaining openness to coaching and change.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of services, amenities, and surroundings (e.g., RV Park, restaurants, retail stores) to provide accurate directions and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
