The Plating Technician reviews setup information, blueprints, and work orders; operates and monitors plating equipment; checks product quality; and supports safe, efficient production.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and a quality-control mindset.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Basic computer skills for operating machinery controls.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Nice To Haves

Experience with PCB plating processes in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Review setup information, blueprints, and work order instructions to determine plating requirements and equipment settings.
Load and unload production panels from plating lines.
Set up, operate, and monitor plating equipment, including automated copper plating lines and other electroplating machinery.
Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain product quality.
Perform quality checks to ensure products conform to specifications.
Conduct routine maintenance on plating equipment and replace filter materials as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow chemical-handling safety protocols.
Work collaboratively with technicians, engineers, and other team members to support efficient production flow.
Maintain accurate records of production output, process parameters, and quality inspection results.
Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
