Plating Operator 2 (Day Shift)
About The Position
The Plating Operator 2 prepares, processes, and inspects precision machined parts in an automated electroplating operation. After chemical handling responsibilities are fulfilled, the operator prepares machined parts, loads them into the automated plating system, selects the appropriate recipe program, and initiates and monitors plating. The operator then inspects plated parts for defects using applicable inspection criteria and tools. This is an onsite W2 assignment in Colorado Springs, Colorado, scheduled for 40 hours per week, with a stated duration of 24 months. The day shift runs from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Pay is $23 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in plating, metrology, or measurement tooling.
- Experience with critical cosmetic inspection and handling of delicate parts.
- Proven success in an assembly position or similar operation.
- Ability to read prints and comprehend GD&T methodology.
Responsibilities
- Perform plating operator duties once chemical handling responsibilities are fulfilled.
- Prepare machined parts for the electroplating process.
- Load prepared parts into the automated plating system.
- Load the appropriate recipe program for each part.
- Initiate and monitor the plating process.
- Inspect plated parts for defects using various inspection criteria and tools.
