About The Position
A Plating Operator 1 prepares, processes, inspects, and packages precision machined parts in an automated electroplating operation. The role is onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is a 24-month W2 assignment working 40 hours per week. The stated shift is 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in plating, metrology, or measurement tooling, and in critical cosmetic inspection and handling of delicate parts.
- Proven success in an assembly position or similar operation.
- Ability to read prints and comprehend GD&T methodology.
Responsibilities
- Prepare plated parts for shipment, confirming count and quality according to specific packaging requirements.
- Prepare machined parts for the electroplating process, load them into the automated plating system, and load the appropriate recipe program for each part.
- Initiate and monitor the plating process.
- Inspect parts for defects after plating using various inspection criteria and tools.
- Perform plating operator duties after chemical-handling responsibilities are fulfilled.
- Work in cross-functional teams with co-workers, engineers, maintenance technicians, and management.
