Platform Specialist II, Wealth Operations

ATBCalgary, AB
Hybrid

About The Position

At ATB, we exist to make it possible for our clients, team members and communities. Our purpose is more than aspirational. It's a real commitment we live every day through our values (what we call the ATB ID). Life at ATB is about more than work. In fact, we’re consistently recognized as one of Canada's top employers thanks to our high-care, high-performance culture, upheld by the three commitments we make to our team members: Impact in action, Thrive together, and Ready for tomorrow. This position has a hybrid work arrangement, with an average of 1 day on-site per week, subject to change due to business priorities. As ATB's next Platform Specialist II, Wealth Operations, you will act as the core Business Systems Analyst within our newly structured Wealth Operations Enablement team. You are the analytical and tactical engine that bridges the gap between business needs and system execution. Working closely with our Platform Product Specialists, your primary mission is to elicit, analyze, and translate high-level business vision into actionable, detailed system requirements. You possess a deep curiosity for how our wealth management ecosystem functions today (As-Is) and the architectural vision to design how it should function tomorrow (To-Be). By applying rigorous systems analysis, process mapping, and quality assurance testing, you ensure our platforms (Dataphile, Salesforce) are optimized to eliminate manual workarounds and reduce friction for our frontline staff.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of dedicated experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a proven track record in requirement elicitation, technical documentation, UAT execution, and bridging the gap between business operations and IT development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Salesforce and wealth back-office platforms (e.g., Dataphile). You possess a deep understanding of wealth management data architecture, system integrations, APIs, and workflow logic.
  • Demonstrated experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment is essential, equipping you to manage backlog priorities and multiple competing deadlines with agility.
  • A curious, critical thinker and systems-oriented problem solver who is compelled to optimize and continuously improve. You are highly comfortable diving into complex data structures and are obsessed with building the future of Wealth Operations.
  • Proven ability to work independently under high-pressure situations, delivering strategic project outcomes while skillfully balancing day-to-day operational support.

Nice To Haves

  • Business Analysis certifications are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and map existing business workflows to identify operational gaps and inefficiencies. Break down complex operational tasks into simplified, scalable technical solutions.
  • Ensure that the technical specifications, data mapping, and system logic built by our platform and IT teams accurately reflect the day-to-day business realities of our Operations and Advisory staff.
  • Develop UAT test cases and execute rigorous testing for all platform releases. Act as the critical gatekeeper for defect management, ensuring system stability and process integrity prior to production deployment.
  • Create and maintain dynamic system documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), process flows, internal control guidelines, and release notes.
  • Leverage your technical systems proficiency and data analysis skills to identify trends, recommend continuous improvements, and influence efficient process changes.
  • Connect and cultivate productive working relationships across ATB, acting as a trusted partner to front-line advisors, internal business units, and external vendors.
  • Act as the vital liaison between technical development teams and non-technical business stakeholders, clearly articulating technical constraints, system capabilities, and how upcoming changes will impact the end-user experience.
