About The Position

The Senior Platform Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer (RTE) leads Agile execution across a large, complex enterprise Data & Analytics (D&A) platform with multiple products, product teams, and technology workstreams. This senior, highly visible role has direct accountability for Agile Release Train (ART) execution, large-scale SAFe event facilitation, cross-team dependency management, critical risk and impediment resolution, and predictable delivery. The role requires formal RTE or equivalent platform-level Agile leadership experience, substantial hands-on RTE work, coordination of at least 10 Scrum Masters or product teams simultaneously, and stakeholder engagement spanning hundreds of participants. The position coordinates delivery across Data Engineering, data pipelines, analytics, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, infrastructure, security, and enterprise applications. The RTE partners with product, architecture, engineering, and business leaders to turn platform priorities into executable plans; manage integration, environment readiness, testing, release, UAT, and deployment dependencies; and provide visibility into ART progress, risks, metrics, and delivery confidence. The role also coaches Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams and drives continuous improvement. The role is based in Houston, Texas, and is hybrid with four days in the office. Remote work is not permitted; the successful candidate must start onsite on Day 1 and provide written confirmation. The stated duration is 12+ months.

Requirements

At least 10 years of professional experience in Agile delivery, Scrum Master, program delivery, or enterprise technology delivery roles.
Demonstrated formal RTE experience or platform-level accountability for a large, multi-team Agile Release Train; team-level Scrum Master experience alone is insufficient.
Certified Scrum Master certification is required.
Strong hands-on SAFe experience.
Proven experience coordinating at least 10–12 or more Scrum Masters or product teams simultaneously across multiple products and workstreams.
Demonstrated experience facilitating large-scale PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, PO Sync, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
Experience engaging and aligning hundreds of stakeholders across technical teams, product organizations, architecture, infrastructure, business functions, and senior leadership.
Experience supporting Data & Analytics platforms, including coordination across Data Engineering, data pipelines, analytics, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, infrastructure, security, and enterprise applications.
Must start onsite on Day 1 and provide written confirmation; remote work is not permitted.

Responsibilities

Own Agile execution, coordination, and delivery governance across multiple Data & Analytics product teams and workstreams as the Platform Scrum Master / RTE.
Lead and facilitate PI Planning, Pre-PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, PO Sync, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt events.
Coordinate at least 10 Scrum Masters or product teams simultaneously, aligning PI objectives, commitments, product priorities, roadmaps, and milestones.
Drive end-to-end Program Increment execution, including preparation, planning, dependency resolution, progress tracking, outcome assessment, and continuous improvement.
Facilitate planning and coordination involving hundreds of stakeholders across product, engineering, architecture, infrastructure, security, and business leadership.
Help teams establish realistic PI objectives and commitments, with clear ownership of dependencies, milestones, risks, and expected outcomes.
Identify, communicate, and drive resolution of critical risks, cross-team dependencies, systemic impediments, and delivery blockers.
Lead resolution of complex delivery issues involving competing priorities, resource constraints, integration challenges, shared environments, technical dependencies, and conflicting commitments.
Facilitate escalations and decisions with senior leadership, Platform Owners, Product Management, Architecture, and Engineering leadership.
Maintain an actionable view of ART-level risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, owners, mitigation plans, and resolution timelines, and drive issues through to resolution.
Coordinate delivery across Data Engineering, data pipelines, databases, APIs, data integration, analytics, reporting, data products, and enterprise data platforms.
Manage dependencies between D&A product teams and Cloud, Infrastructure, Servers, Networking, Cybersecurity, DevOps, Enterprise Architecture, and Application teams.
Partner with Product Owners, Product Managers, Architects, Engineering Leads, and technical SMEs to translate platform priorities into executable delivery plans.
Coordinate integration testing, environment readiness, release planning, UAT, production readiness, and deployment dependencies across products and technology teams.
Establish and maintain ART-level visibility into PI objectives, milestones, commitments, capacity, dependencies, impediments, risks, flow, and release readiness.
Monitor and communicate delivery metrics, including PI predictability, objective achievement, throughput, cycle time, work in progress, dependency aging, and blocker resolution.
Identify systemic delivery bottlenecks, capacity constraints, process inefficiencies, and recurring cross-team issues; develop and drive corrective actions.
Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams on SAFe execution, facilitation, dependency management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
Provide concise executive reporting on platform progress, critical risks, required decisions, delivery confidence, and recovery plans.
