About The Position

RTX is seeking a highly motivated Platform Engineering candidate to be an active participant on the Platform development teams for their Modernized Infrastructure projects. This internship offers an exceptional foundation to work on complex problems, advance skills, and create a safer, more connected world within the aerospace and defense industry. Interns will learn from and collaborate with industry leaders, working with cutting-edge technologies in products that help protect warfighters. The role involves supporting platform infrastructure hardware systems build and documentation activities using software-based CAD programs and defined processes. Participants will engage in collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams, often employing agile development operations to plan, specify, design, test, and integrate complex products and system solutions. The intern will develop modernized platform infrastructure utilizing tools such as CREO, AutoCAD, Adobe, and Visio, collaborating with other disciplines and senior technical staff, and producing planning and technical work products for internal customers to form original solutions to complex problems. This position is within an advanced product development team environment with systems and Platform Engineers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
Experience in mechanical development utilizing tools such as: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as excellent written/verbal communication skills
Any knowledge/experience with Windows or related System Operating systems and related products and software is preferred.
Experience with software tools such as: Adobe Acrobat, MS Office Products, Visio
Experience with basic computer systems, design and architecture.
Experience with basic Networks and related interfaces.
Product Development Lifecycle, including Agile philosophy
Experience with Cyber security Concepts is a Plus.

Responsibilities
