About The Position

Join Raytheon Technologies (RTX) as a Senior. Principal Platform Lead and take on a pivotal role in leading a multi-faceted infrastructure team that supports our project modernization initiatives. You will lead a team of 10-15 Platform/Hardware Engineers, working on program development and sustainment activities in a COTS-based compute environment. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will contribute to the technical success of the team while overseeing their performance, career development, and alignment with organizational goals. Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of related work experience
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or SAFe
  • Experience with program cost and schedule monitoring and reporting
  • Experience with the deployment and installation of complex systems
  • Experience with ASME Standards, IEEE Specifications, IPC Standards, Windows OS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and VMware solutions
  • Experience in toolsets such as Visio, CREO, AutoCAD, cPDM (Windchill), and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Active and Current TS/SCI security clearance is required day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Training or certification in Basis of Estimates (BOE)
  • Experience with IPT and CPT leadership processes
  • Experience developing and managing product line artifacts
  • General experience in networks, including SAN/NAS designs and implementation
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Strong organizational skills and experience in team development
  • Experience with the Agile development lifecycle

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 10-15 Platform/Hardware Engineers, providing mentorship, career development, and performance feedback
  • Oversee program development and sustainment activities in a Linux and Windows-based COTS compute environment
  • Coordinate team staffing, training, and development to meet organizational and program needs
  • Support the deployment and installation of complex systems at both CONUS and OCONUS sites, including Linux and Windows systems administration, network design, and COTS assembly and integration
  • Monitor and report on program cost, schedule, and performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations
  • Provide technical guidance to team members and facilitate communication between the program and Functional Engineering Leadership teams
  • Collaborate with program managers to ensure customer satisfaction with delivered products and services
  • Participate in proposal development, including creating and reviewing cost estimates and Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and presenting to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and organizational policies, including ASME Standards, IEEE Specifications, and IPC Standards
