Requirements

Approximately 6+ years of experience in platform engineering.
Expertise in AWS, including ECS, VPC networking, IAM, and multi-account setups.
Experience building and scaling these systems.
Proficiency in CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and observability.
Experience optimizing pipelines.
Experience writing Terraform or CDK.
Experience building monitoring that provides useful information.
Experience keeping databases healthy under pressure, including Aurora MySQL, query tuning, and reader scaling.
Ability to spot problems, figure out fixes, and ship them independently.
Comfort working in a dynamic environment, handling both strategic infrastructure work and urgent operational tasks.
Wild curiosity about industry trends, including AI tooling.

Responsibilities

Own the infrastructure that powers our fintech BNPL platform, including AWS, CI/CD, observability, security, databases, and networking.
Tune ECS clusters and plan capacity.
Set up connectivity for new credit union partners.
Dial in Datadog monitors.
Own capacity planning, right-sizing, and getting ahead of bottlenecks across ECS, RDS, and the rest of the stack.
Maintain cloud networking and VPN connectivity as new FI partners come online.
Get Datadog monitoring to a place where the team trusts it, including building NOC dashboards, writing alerts, and standing up an on-call rotation.
Keep CI/CD pipelines fast, reliable, and locked down, especially as the monorepo scales.
Ensure dev teams can deploy confidently within platform standards.
Work through vulnerability backlogs and tighten IAM.
Triage vulnerability tickets.
