About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Platform Engineer for an on-site contract position with a Major Financial Institution. This role focuses on providing expertise on platform engineering to design, build, and maintain technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with physical data center operations and will use their technical knowledge to develop secure, scalable, and reliable software components and hardware for complex projects.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in a related field
• Direct experience with physical data center operations including rack-and-stack, structured copper and fiber cabling, hardware break-fix, and asset management
• Solid understanding of power, cooling, and physical security controls
• Knowledge of Machine Learning, Risk Assessments, and Enterprise Architecture Frameworks
• Strong technical knowledge and design skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with standard tooling such as ServiceNow, Jira, CMDB, and DCIM systems

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on platform engineering while overseeing the team's effort and meeting customer needs
• Use technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions
• Develop software components and hardware for complex projects, aligning them with business strategies and objectives
• Provide expertise on best practices, standards, engineering approaches and complex technical resolutions for processes
• Place emphasis on quality improvement efforts, ensuring that deliverables are secure, scalable and reliable
• Communicate with customers and integrate their needs with development to meet business objectives
