About the position
We are seeking a Platform Engineer to join our team at AUTOproff. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end operations of the products owned by your team and collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to identify and solve problems. Your role will involve developing tools and frameworks to enable developers to build and maintain services, shaping architecture and technology choices, and providing support to other engineers. To succeed in this role, you should have experience with infrastructure as code, continuous delivery, and cloud providers such as AWS. You should also have familiarity with DevOps principles, observability concepts, and monitoring technologies.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the end-to-end operations of the products owned by your team.
- Collaborate with a product manager and engineering teams to identify the right problem to solve.
- Develop tools and frameworks to enable developers to build and maintain services.
- Shape the architecture, technology choices, and develop infrastructure products.
- Support other engineers that use your team's products, participate in on-call, and troubleshoot production incidents.
Requirements
- Appreciation for Infrastructure as Code, Pipeline as Code, Continuous Delivery and the Accelerate metrics
- Experience with IaaS cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. (Ideally with AWS)
- Strong familiarity with DevOps principles, design patterns and experience using them
- Familiarity with core IaaS concepts such as compute, storage, networking, identity management, etc.
- Knowledge of observability concepts
- Experience with monitoring technologies such as CloudWatch, Datadog, OpsGenie and NewRelic
- Experience in software engineering, ideally in one of: C#, Python, Golang, Typescript.
- Familiarity with event messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, SNS, SQS
- Problem solving and collaboration skills.
- CI/CD solutions such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins
