Platform Engineer/Architect, SME
About The Position
FEDITC, LLC is seeking a Platform Engineer/Architect, SME to provide senior-level platform engineering support for the DFAS CCE NIPRNet unclassified enclave in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role includes planning and engineering infrastructure improvements, supporting operations and change control, and developing the technology roadmap and architecture. An active Secret security clearance and United States citizenship are required. Candidates must also pass a background check and maintain applicable security clearances as required by the client or FEDITC. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; at least 10 years of enterprise systems architecture experience; expert Windows Server administration and security architecture skills; and the specified Microsoft Azure and CISSP certifications or equivalents. The posting also identifies Azure Solutions Architect, virtualization, DFAS financial systems, DoD cloud migration, compliance, security-hardening, and emerging-technology experience as preferred qualifications.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of enterprise systems architecture experience.
- Expert-level Windows Server administration; Microsoft Azure AZ-801 and AZ-802 certifications are specified.
- Expert-level security architecture; CISSP or equivalent certification is specified.
- Experience with NIPRNet unclassified network environments.
- Proficiency in SQL, SCOM, MECM, virtualization (VMware/Nutanix), and Directory Services.
- Experience with Azure cloud migration and hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of IPv6 implementation and transition.
- Experience developing technology roadmaps and architecture documentation.
- Demonstrated Zero Trust Network Architecture implementation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- United States citizenship and ability to pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Azure Solutions Architect certification.
- VMware VCP or equivalent virtualization certification.
- Experience with DFAS financial systems infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level platform engineering support for the DFAS CCE NIPRNet unclassified enclave.
- Process CCE priority Tier 3 DFASNow support tickets, achieving 95% worked-by-priority compliance.
- Support the CCE Change Control Board (CCB), achieving 95% on-time inputs.
- Lead technology planning and develop the ITI 5-Year Roadmap & Architecture, due 60 days after award and annually thereafter.
- Engineer solutions for CCE movement to DoD-certified cloud solutions and hybrid environments.
- Evaluate CCE infrastructure for cost reduction, service improvement, and capability enhancement.
- Reengineer CCE infrastructure to meet next-generation architecture protocols and Zero Trust Network Architecture.
- Conduct tuning activities, achieving 90% on-schedule compliance.
- Support IPv6 processing, achieving 100% validation compliance.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s), as requested by FEDITC or required by its clients, customers, or prime contractors.
