Plastics Lab Technician

About The Position
Join Penn Color’s R&D team in its Plastics Laboratory. In this first-shift role, you will be trained to perform a variety of laboratory sample preparation functions and develop hands-on skills supporting plastics research and development. The position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requirements
- High school equivalency or relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and follow applicable ISO 9001 guidelines.
- Learn and follow Oracle, raw material, and laboratory workflows.
- Learn to operate sample preparation equipment, including extruders, roll mills, chippers, pulverizers, and premixing equipment.
- Develop basic color-correction skills through training with quality control equipment and spectrophotometers.
- Communicate effectively with team members, follow directions, and apply basic math skills.
- Collaborate with the team while managing multiple tasks.
