About The Position

This role involves performing a variety of duties to plan, set up, and spray parts to meet production requirements. The Plasma Sprayer will mask and/or grit blast parts to prepare them for coating, use judgment in determining proper flow and speed of spray for the best results and compliance with all specifications, and interpret work orders, engine manuals, and blueprints to determine required operations and sequence. The position also requires working with Engineering to develop plasma spray programs, determine new methods, develop parameters, and determine material type for new or modified products. Additionally, the role includes assisting with new tooling ideas, ensuring the use of proper fixtures and tools, maintaining adequate inventory levels of material to meet production goals, and requisitioning materials and tooling as required.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience plasma spraying
• Knowledge/Practical use and programming abilities of Plasma and Oxy/Fuel Thermal Spray (Oerlikon 9MC)
• Good mathematical skills
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents
• High school diploma or equivalent required
