About The Position

Triad Metals International is hiring a Plasma Burn Table Operator for its team in Petersburg, Virginia. The operator runs CNC machines to cut and shape carbon steel plates accurately, using blueprints and technical specifications to meet production and quality requirements. Multiple positions are available on the shift.

Requirements

• 0–5 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Manual dexterity for precise operations.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions.
• Basic arithmetic skills for accurate measurements.
• Basic proficiency in software applications.
• Strong multitasking, time management, and decision-making abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Kinetics or Messer systems.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Some experience in metalworking or CNC operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines for precision part manufacturing.
• Review blueprints and specifications to understand machining requirements.
• Select materials according to work orders.
• Determine required dimensions, tolerances, and surface conditions.
• Set up machines by aligning and securing tools and materials.
• Monitor machine speeds and feeds and sequence operations.
• Produce complex shapes according to drawings while preventing distortion.
• Measure and inspect parts with precision instruments to ensure compliance.
• Conduct inspections throughout production in accordance with ISO standards.
• Clean and maintain equipment according to procedures.
• Diagnose issues, make adjustments, and manage scrap.
• Coordinate material handling and document work orders.
• Follow safety and quality standards.
