About The Position

Support activities and processes related to the operation of an electric generating unit composed of boilers, turbines, generators, transformers, pumps, condensers and auxiliary equipment. Perform studies and analysis related to the installation, alteration, overhaul, maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment, instruments and controls. Assist in planning major installation and maintenance projects. Coordinate and participate in productivity analysis and improvement studies. What you’ll do: Essential Job Functions & Tasks Review, process, and interpret communication with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Ensure proposed activities comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including project-specific management plans and license requirements. Interpret and apply environmental regulatory requirements such as those including, but not limited to (FERC), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, state environmental agencies, local governments, etc. Maintain records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with applicable project license requirements. Conduct on-site inspections of property within project boundaries to assess compliance. Perform routine monitoring and document findings. Coordinate with contractors on compliance-related projects required by a project’s FERC license, or other compliance requirements from other governing agencies. Serve as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for FERC compliance-related inquiries from federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Represent the company in meetings with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community stakeholders. Participate in public outreach, educational sessions, and stakeholder meetings to promote awareness and understanding of compliance related activities. Coordinate with other staff to monitor, update, and complete Cority/Enviance tasks and upload documentation to SharePoint to track/manage all of our compliance requirements and communication with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • One to two years of experience in environmental regulatory compliance
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
