About The Position

The Repair Systems Manager ensures paid repair, overhaul, internal FMI, and other warranty and non-warranty returned material activities follow approved processes. Manage effectively from initial customer notification, issuance of an RMA, through the timely repair/return of product to the customer, and closure of RMA/Q Notifications. This role is also responsible for monitoring, managing, and escalating warranty RMA activities that require production awareness (i.e., Failure Analysis scheduling/prioritization, production rework/repair, etc.). As a member of the Plant Leadership Team this role will manage the Service Center Supervisor and Planner, as well as the Repair Shop Coordinators. This role has the authority and responsibility to manage and prioritize all RMA work, creating and maintaining KPI’s and PI’s, provide reporting and visibility to all RMA activity, manage, and continuously improve the associated processes, and escalate issues for resolution when required. The role frequently interacts with Supply Chain, Quality, Rail Services, Engineering, Project Management, and other departments to coordinate and direct all activities associated with these processes.

Requirements

  • Management of warranty and non-warranty RMA team to include the assignment & prioritization of workloads, tasks, and other responsibilities.
  • Initiation, facilitation, and closure of all RMA’s.
  • Monitor and manage the production team to support all RMA efforts.
  • Escalation of issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Creation, maintenance and reporting of all RMA activities, management KPIs and metrics; to include tracking all RMA’s.
  • Maintain repair work schedule with production support team, to ensure timely repair of customer material.
  • Validate the effectiveness of associated processes and make necessary improvements and changes.
  • Support, develop, any RMA procedures/instructions to assure compliance.
  • Maintain a high level of data integrity within KBC’s SAP system.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement efforts associated with these processes locally and globally.
  • Must be able to comply with applicable company and plant procedures and policies.
