About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical Sector - ARS division is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for our Fibrebond team based at our manufacturing campus in Minden, LA. Relocation assistance is available to candidates currently residing in the US. The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, applying, revising, and maintaining quality standards to ensure customer requirements are met across all stages of production. This role supports engineering, manufacturing, and supplier processes by ensuring compliance with internal, customer, and industry standards, while driving continuous improvement and zero-defect quality performance. Fibrebond, an Eaton company, designs and manufactures pre integrated modular buildings and power enclosures that protect mission critical equipment for data center, industrial, utility, and communications customers. Headquartered in Minden, Louisiana, Fibrebond is known for its engineered to order solutions that support complex infrastructure projects across North America. In 2025, Fibrebond was acquired by Eaton, expanding Eaton’s modular solutions portfolio while preserving Fibrebond’s strong engineering expertise, customer focus, and manufacturing operations in Louisiana.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution OR currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited institution with a graduation date no later than June 2027.
  • Two (2) years of engineering, quality, or operations leadership experience, working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, TS16949).
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a quality engineer or similar, supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt).
  • ASQ CQE or CQA certification.
  • Experience in electrical or industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience with quality related audits, quality systems, or process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and procedures across manufacturing operations.
  • Support Engineering and Program teams with continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Ensure products meet internal and customer requirements.
  • Lead corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, A3, and Lean methodologies.
  • Serve as a liaison for customer quality concerns and drive timely resolution.
  • Manage non-conforming material, including disposition, containment, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures aligned with Eaton QMS and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Communicate quality issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts.
  • Support audits and promote a strong quality cultures.
  • Assist with training and development of quality team members.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Apply methodologies to enhance process capability and ensure product reliability.
  • Develop an escalation protocol to facilitate swift responses and effective root cause analysis.
  • Perform error-proofing evaluations to identify and eliminate possible failure modes, aiming for zero defects.
  • Create a Calibration Bands Roadmap.
  • Maintain an Open Actions register focused on achieving zero defects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
