Plant Production Supervisor
About The Position
Supervise Second Shift production activities at a precast/prestressed concrete production facility. Coordinate installation and pour, wet finishing, dry finishing, and dismantling operations. Develop and oversee crews’ performance in safety, quality, schedule, and cost. Ensure materials needed for installation and dumping are available and delivered on time. Monitor daily production progress to meet production schedules and budgets, recommend and improve production methods, and monitor product quality. Coordinate with other departments on production schedules, customer demands, production capacity, and the purchase, production, and distribution of materials. Participate in plant leadership and personnel selection, training, development, supervision, staffing, and performance management. Comply with Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

- Develop and oversee crew performance in safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
- Ensure materials needed for installation and dumping are available and delivered in a timely manner.
- Monitor and track daily production progress to ensure schedules and budgets are met.
- Recommend and improve production methods.
- Monitor product quality.
- Coordinate with other departments to establish production schedules that meet customer demands and optimize production capacities.
- Coordinate with other departments in the purchase, production, and distribution of materials.
- Attend scheduled Safety, Quality, Production, and Rotation meetings.
- Implement and follow Metromont safety programs, including holding weekly safety meetings.
- Participate in the plant's leadership team.
- Participate in the selection of temporary and new production personnel.
- Participate in the training, development, and supervision of production personnel.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are met and maintained in response to changing production needs and schedules.
- Conduct routine performance evaluations and address performance-related or other employment-related issues.
- Comply with Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
