About The Position

We’re seeking a Plant Production Superintendent to guide our plastics bag-making operation across Converting and Extrusion. You’ll orchestrate people, processes, and priorities so production runs safely, on time, on budget, and to spec—every time. Our Mission is to operate a safe, clean, environmentally compliant facility while delivering exceptional quality and service. Your leadership will translate strategy into action on the shop floor and measurable results on the scorecard.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Thorough understanding of production processes with the ability to oversee the bag-making process.
  • 5–10+ years in a production environment.
  • Self-directed with demonstrated effectiveness across all organizational levels.
  • Clear, confident communicator.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and aptitude for new systems.
  • Willing and able to work overtime.
  • Leadership/people management proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Advance initiatives that protect the safety, health, security, and welfare of all employees.
  • Keep production areas clean, orderly, and compliant with environmental and company standards.
  • Provide inclusive oversight of all production and production support activities aligned with company policies, principles, procedures, values, and standards.
  • Perpetually assess systems, procedures, equipment, facilities, and team capabilities to optimize safety, flow, service, quality, and profitability.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols.
  • Ensure activities remain on schedule and within budget; review budgets and report cost plans to corporate leadership.
  • Track staffing needs and recruit as needed; lead, motivate, and support the production team, including career development and problem resolution.
  • Conduct daily GEMBA engagements on the floor.
  • Perform daily audits for Standard Work, Housekeeping, and Roll Scanning.
  • Post shift scorecards twice monthly.
  • Support for attendance and performance write-ups.
  • Ensure completion of SABA safety training across shifts.
  • Manage overtime scheduling in line with demand.
  • Provide on-the-floor support to the shift supervisor to improve uptime.
  • Oversee data collection and metric updates to hit productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Oversee materials and inventory.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
