Plant Plastic Injection Molding Process Engineer
About The Position
EVCO Plastics is hiring a Plant Process Engineer for its Calhoun facility. This onsite role focuses on improving production efficiency, manufacturing processes, and product quality. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams, production staff, and modern manufacturing technology, while contributing to process improvement projects and sustainable manufacturing practices. Day-to-day work includes reviewing production schedules, identifying process challenges, investigating production issues through root cause analysis, and working with production teams to implement solutions. The role also involves regular assessments on the production floor, collecting data for continuous improvement, and participating in team meetings to share project updates and coordinate work with other departments. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, with hours varying according to project needs and operational demands.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in injection molding processing.
- At least 6 years of experience in plastics injection molding.
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting production issues and implementing solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt and innovate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with CAD software.
- Familiarity with process simulation tools.
