About The Position

Operate a primary crushing plant and a secondary crushing plant in a back-up capacity, striving for safe plant operation and maximum production of the highest quality material achievable. This hourly, non-exempt position works with and without direct supervision. The position frequently involves working more than 40 hours per week and non-traditional hours, including night shifts and Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays. Applicants may be considered for Plant Operator 1, 2, or 3 depending on relevant experience.

Requirements

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge needed to perform the essential functions.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations as they relate to the position.
• Knowledge of operating a PLC operating computer.
• Knowledge of proper maintenance and repair of crushing plant equipment.
• Ability to learn and follow GOH company policies and procedures.
• Ability to work with and without direct supervision.
• Required training: MSHA ART/NM/ENM, CPR/First Aid, Skid Steer, JLG, and Rigging.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a field environment exposed to dust, inclement weather, extreme heat, and extreme cold.
• Ability to shovel and sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate a primary crushing plant and a secondary crushing plant in a back-up capacity to achieve safe operation and maximum production of quality material.
• Know and follow all GOH and MSHA regulations and policies.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of crushing plant equipment.
• Track production and complete production tracking forms accurately and on time.
• Work as a team player.
• Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by a supervisor.
