About The Position

Airgas is hiring a Plant Operator for its Tampa, Florida, filling industrial facility. The role supports safe and efficient production, including cylinder filling, to maintain excellent quality standards and a steady supply of industrial gases. The operator cares for production equipment, helps keep it in good condition, supports safe cylinder handling and transport, and maintains accurate records. The position also involves following safety procedures and collaborating with coworkers in team meetings and safety initiatives.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
Technical certification in industrial operations.
Industrial gas experience.

Responsibilities

Operate and care for production equipment, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts.
Conduct routine inspections and contribute to equipment maintenance; promptly identify and communicate equipment needs.
Safely transport and handle cylinders, including filling cylinders and conducting quality checks.
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Participate in collaborative team meetings and safety initiatives.
