About The Position

Airgas is hiring a Plant Operator in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to support the safe and efficient operation of its industrial gas production facility, including cylinder filling. The role helps maintain production quality and a steady supply of industrial gases while supporting a safe, collaborative work environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
Technical certification in industrial operations.
Industrial gas experience.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Commitment to following safety protocols.
Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
Flexibility to work shifts and occasional extra hours when needed.

Responsibilities

Care for and steward production facility equipment, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts.
Perform routine inspections and contribute to equipment maintenance, promptly communicating identified needs.
Safely move, fill, and quality-check cylinders in accordance with safety guidelines.
Maintain records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities.
Follow safety protocols and procedures.
Participate in team meetings and safety initiatives.
