We’re hiring a Plant Operator to join our team at our Jeffco site in Golden, Colorado. If you bring positive energy, teamwork, and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you! You will play an essential role in safely operating the plant and using equipment, tools, and other manufacturing resources to produce quality materials in an aggregate environment. You will help keep operations running smoothly by supporting daily production goals and maintaining a safe, efficient workplace.

Requirements

Broad knowledge and hands-on experience operating heavy machinery and equipment
Proficiency with power tools, welders, cutting torches, chains, and appropriate safety devices
Self-motivated and able to work effectively in small teams with minimal supervision
Basic mechanical aptitude and strong math skills
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and weekends as needed
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Nice To Haves

Experience in the aggregate industry
Welding experience
Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a plant environment

Responsibilities

Safely operate the processing plant to produce quality concrete products
Operate industrial equipment including blenders, loaders, haul trucks, skid steers, welders, and hand tools to meet daily production goals
Collaborate with team members to complete daily operational priorities and cross-train in additional roles as needed
Support a safe and clean workplace by performing housekeeping and maintenance activities
Conduct regular plant walk-throughs to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and verify completed repairs
Complete required documentation, identify improvement opportunities, and report operational issues to the Foreman
Stay current with safety procedures, MSHA regulations, and BURNCO safety policies
Perform other related duties as assigned
