About The Position

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Plant Operator located in Richmond, California, through June 22, at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time). This posting is located in the Richmond Lubricants Plant Packaging Department. The role involves operating within Chevron Safe Work Practices and ensuring contractor safety. It also requires a strong commitment to safety and active participation in OE (Operational Excellence) programs. This position requires driving on a routine basis. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years prior operations experience.
  • Valid CA driver’s license and forklift operation experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in packaging or warehousing operations.
  • Associates or higher degree (or equivalent).
  • Higher technical or secondary technical education.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and reliably transfer bulk lubricant products.
  • Execute filling orders using manual and automatic controls on multiple filling lines.
  • Ensure packaged product quality and traceability.
  • Responsible for line sampling, reject system verification, weight checks, and printer operation.
  • Manually or mechanically move incoming package components and outgoing packaged products.
  • Inspect and manage incoming packaging components for stock accuracy and component quality.
  • Performs administrative duties as necessary including stock, repackaging, and damage goods counting and reporting.
  • Works cooperatively with others as a team player.
  • Complete all Company and Regulatory training including computer base training.
  • Responsible for filling line housekeeping and equipment checks on a daily basis.
  • Performs other such work as requested by the Lead and Head Packaging Operator.
